I've done a Spotlight search for alternative Music libraries on my computer and external drive, but the only ones that come up are the current (old) one in use, plus other libraries that are even older. All these files were working fine before the reversion. Same thing with the 'synch' function in Music preferences.Īnother weird aspect is that the old music files-those added into the library before the cut-off period, show up in Music but they come with the exclamation point on the far left of the songs window that indicates when I click on them the app can't find the path and wants me to 'locate' the file. Similarly, when I go to the 'Recently Added' list not a single purchase from the date of the old library has been recorded. All songs purchased in the last several months, all the playlists made, any renaming of songs, and any play records of the songs has disappeared. When I booted back up and restarted Music the library seems to have reverted to an old version. That shut down the computer and I didn't return to it for a couple of days.
